All About Maternity Sessions

Booking a Maternity Session

My maternity sessions are an add-on to my newborn sessions. I offer them at a discounted price and consider them a "petite maternity session," meaning they are shorter than a full family or newborn session would be. This is a great time for us to connect before baby comes and meet the rest of your family, especially of you have other children so I am more familiar to them.

Session Location

I do all my maternity sessions outdoors unless it is during the winter, in that case we can do an in-home session at the comfort of your own home. I have a couple locations to choose from in the Wooster area, or if you have another suggestion I am willing to scout it out and see if it is a good fit for us! This family and myself happened to be in the same place at a summer camp on Lake Erie so we had the special privilege of doing a beach session.

The Best Time to Schedule Your Session

I always recommend scheduling your session for when you are between 32-36 week pregnant. This is a good time because you are usually still fairly comfortable and you are not too close to your due date. If something happens and you have to deliver sooner or before your scheduled session I will either refund your session price, or work out a different type of session we can substitute.

Lifestyle Maternity

I capture maternity sessions the same way as I do my other session types. My main focus is on connection. Connecting with your newest family member, your spouse, and your other children. I will guide and pose, but I strive to do so in an authentic manner that doesn't feel stiff or awkward. I want you to feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful throughout your session. You are amazing for growing a human with your body and you deserve to feel proud of that accomplishment.
